Job Description

Do you have experience of Agile or Kanban, working within a Software Delivery environmentFord & Stanley - The Rail Recruitment Specialists are recruiting a Project Manager to work for a highly ambitious technology specialist.The OpportunityYou will have the opportunity to work for an award-winning company that provides an outstanding software suite to their client base.This role will suit someone who has a proven track record of managing product updates and features from concept through to production within a software environment. You will be responsible for delivering the features of the software suite and servicing the clients with maintenance updates and improvements.Location: Main office based in Sheffield however this role may involve travelling nationally.Key Responsibilities

  • Agreeing and controlling the scope of a project or product workstream
  • Managing a product backlog and prioritizing features as required
  • Determining the resources required and ensuring adequate availability and allocation
  • Weekly project reporting with relevant escalations to clients, the Head of Delivery and Senior Management
  • Developing full scale project plans and thorough project documentation including budget information and relevant tracking
  • Implementing and managing project changes and interventions as required
  • Managing day-to-day operational aspects of a project
  • Conducting analysis and progress tracking through liaising with customers
  • Planning releases effectively and ensuring adequate resources are available
  • Ensuring service level agreements are upheld
  • Liaising with clients and all stakeholders to ensure the highest level of service is provided
  • Leading a project team of Designers, Developers and Testers
  • Ensuring project invoicing is completed at set milestones
    • The Candidate
  • Previous project management experience within a software product environment.
  • Proven experience in risk and conflict management & change management.
  • Understanding of the software development life cycle
  • Strong Stakeholder Engagement skills
  • Understanding of Agile Scrum and Kanban approaches
  • Excellent organisation and prioritisation skills
  • Commercial and business awareness
  • The ability to interpret jargon for the client
  • Capable of staying calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines
  • The ability to work with Business Analysts to turn a vision or requirement into something tangible and work out how to deliver it
  • Experience managing software releases to multiple platforms including app stores and the cloud
