Ashley Kate are supporting our charity client in Sheffield who are looking for an AAT qualified Project Accountant on a part time basis 22.2 hour per week.The client is paying a FTE salary of £25,481 which would be pro rated down accordingly for the hours worked.The Project Accountant is responsible for assisting with the monthly management accounts and providing accurate monitoring to budget holders and funders on various contacts and grants. Reporting directly to the Finance Coordinator, this role will also develop new systems and enhanced reporting and process improvements in the accounting system. The role involves specialist work with external and internal customers to provide quality information to all levels of the organisation and ensure the highest standards of customer service. The Project accountant must ensure that finance deadlines are adhered to in a professional manner. Previous experience in this type of role is essential, ideally in a charitable setting. The successful candidate will hold the AAT qualification, and have an understanding of FRS102 Charity accounts.Excellent technical knowledge and experience of finance systems and analysis is essential, along with strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent Excel skills, and verbal and written communication skills are also essential to this role. Ideally applicants will have experience of working with Access Dimensions, Sage and grant/gift aid. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with the ability to work on their own initiative.
