Job Description

Programme Manager - Sheffield - Hybrid Working - £50-£65k + Car AllowanceI am working with a Global Manufacturing organisation who are looking for a Programme Manager in their central project function. You will be working on anything from System Integration, new software updates and releases, Infrastructure updates and much more.You will be leading business change programmes (eg M&A, insourcing/outsourcing services, new/replacement core applications and process improvement) and projects as well as lead the small team of project managers, establishing standards and best practiceacross the project lifecycle and driving consistency and reliability of project delivery.Key Responsibilities

  • Determine and define programme/project business cases, scope and objectives
  • End to end programme/project management from planning through to operationalisation and delivery
  • Customer engagement - excellent stakeholder management across all areas of the business
  • Delivery of quality solutions within timescales and budgets
  • Develop and manage an overall programme schedule and/or detailed project schedule and work plan
  • Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
  • Ensuring that all applicable aspects of the business governance are met
  • Manage the governance, scoping, delivery and implementation of these changes
  • Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
  • Effective communication with various Teams, project sponsors, stakeholders & customers
  • Identify and flag business challenges constructively and manage them to resolution
  • Lead and develop a high performing team
  • Evolve the project management methodology and tools to drive consistency and reliability of delivery
What would be handy
  • Excellent stakeholder management and engagement experience
  • Experience delivering programmes and projects following Agile methodology
  • Highly organised and able to coordinate others within the programme team
  • Proven experience of managing the delivery of a programme of work / multiple change projects
  • Solid all-round programme and project manager skillset
  • Confident individual with proven experience of communicating and influencing with key stakeholders
  • Ability to work autonomously and work under pressure
  • Solid experience using MS Visio, MS Project, Sharepoint, MS Office Suite
  • Solid experience of working with waterfall and agile methodologies
  • Experience in ERPs, e-Commerce and CRM platforms (Babbage, Magento, Salesforce) desirable
  • Experience in retail/distribution and building/construction sectors desirable
