Job Description

Temporary until 31 March 2023This new role will champion the voices of people in Sheffield with lived experience of domestic abuse.Job description:

  • Salary: £25,565-£27,639 (pro rata)
  • 2 hours per week, negotiable

More about the role:SYHA and Sheffield City Council are working together to provide a Domestic Abuse Liaison Worker who has lived experience of domestic abuse.The role will work to champion the voices of people in Sheffield with lived experience of domestic abuse, to help inform service delivery and implementation of the Domestic and Sexual Abuse Strategy 2018-2022 and the Sheffield Domestic Abuse Safe AccommodationStrategy 2021-2024.We want to design and deliver with, not for, people to ensure the best output and outcomes, and we want our approach to this to be strong and consistent. People are at the heart of what we do, and we want them to be heard, involved and empowered.Youll deliver activities that put people with lived experience of domestic abuse and their voice at the heart of strategy and implementation, leading coproduction work and developing our learning.Youll champion and advocate for coproduction, and work to increase the voice and influence of those experiencing domestic abuse.Who you are:We welcome people from diverse backgrounds and with different life experiences, and believe this makes our team stronger.Please note that this role is restricted to female applicants under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, and Part 1.
