Ross & Catherall Ltd, part of the Doncasters Group, is a world leader in the manufacture and supply of vacuum and air melted ferrous, nickel and cobalt base alloy and superalloy barstock. They are currently recruiting a number of roles to support two excitingnew projects.In return, you will receive the following: £35-45,000 + Completion Bonus100% On site roleM-Thurs: 7:30-4 or 8-4:30 (FLEX) and Friday = 1:30 Finish35 Days Holiday - inclusive of bank holidaysPension and Free Parking on siteAs part of a £100m capital investment programme announced by Doncasters Group in January 2021, the Ross & Catherall facility have received just over £7m, the single largest investment in their history, to add a new 4,000kg capacity Vacuum Induction Melting(VIM) furnace.Fully operational in 2023, the new furnace will further enhance the range of melting and technical capabilities, allowing its customers to benefit from the very latest in VIM technology.The company are currently gearing up to start work on a global ERP project, named FUSION. This project, which will ultimately involve all twenty Doncasters Group facilities around the world, will shape the way the group will operate over the next 10-15 years. This is a group wide project to implement a new computer system called Infor LN which will touch every area of the business.As a result of these projects, this is a truly monumental time to join the business. Who are Ross & CatherallSheffield based manufacturer, Ross & Catherall have earned a widely acclaimed reputation for technical excellence in the production of superalloys for critical-use applications in the industrial gas turbine (IGT), aerospace, automotive and medical industries.Role overview:My client is looking for highly driven individual who can demonstrate relevant experience within a production planning/scheduling, technical engineering, manufacturing environment. You will work cross functionally with Commercial and Operations Teams, ensuringthe needs of the customers are met in line with set KPIs.Ideally, you will be data driven and be able to manipulate Excel to an advanced level. Experience with implementing ERP and Lean Manufacturing Methodologies would also be desirable. This role will require strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to build relationships at all levels, both internally and externally. This role will require excellent attention to detail with a capacity to recognise problems and proactively seekto resolve these. You will be responsible for balancing demand with available capacity and ensure deliverables are met on time and in full.Role responsibilities:Managing and leasing a small scheduling teamProduce and update Production Schedules in line with the order book, minimising non-productive time where possibleAttend daily and weekly meetings (S&OP), contributing strongly to the success of the overall teamHighlight any issues to the production plans to the relevant teams ASAP and look for ways to overcome theseFocus on OTIF and other set KPIs for the DepartmentEnsuring the consistent flow of material and raising any shortages with SLTDevelop and maintain relevant standard operating proceduresEnsure data is maintained to the highest possible standardKey skills & experience:Proven management experience of a small teamRelevant experience within Production Planning within manufacturing, engineering or metals backgroundConfident Excel and System userStrong internal and external communicator - able to build relationships at all levelsStrong numerical and analytical skills with a methodical approach to completing tasks
