Job Description

We are currently recruiting a number of Permanent Production Operators for our well established reputable client based in Sheffield.Working shifts : Rotating weekly shift pattern days and afternoons39 hours per week - 2 shift rotationEarly: Mon - Thurs 6am-2pm, Fri 6am - 1pmAfters: Mon to Thurs 2pm - 10pm, Fri 1pm - 8pmGenerous overtime availableSalary: Salary - £23,443.43 per annum , after 12 weeks operartors will be entitled to bonus - Annual salary inc of bonus - £26,581Overtime (Weekdays and Saturdays) paid at £14.40 ph, Sundays paid at £17.28 phJob role:

  • Working in a busy manufacturing environment using machinery and hand tools.
  • Full training is provided.
  • Suitable applicants will have previous construction, labouring, production or engineering experience., preferred but not essential
MissionFollow established procedures and guidelines to manufacture the organisations products according to production specifications and schedules, volume, cost and wastage targets within quality, environment, health and safety standardsAccountabilitiesOperate all relevant machinery, tools, and equipment and undertake production tasks safely and in accordance with instructions
  • Complete pre start checks
  • Maintain and follow up to date standard operating procedures
  • Complete production activities in order of priority
  • Monitor level of activity to ensure production targets are met
  • Grease machines when appropriate
Set up or adjust equipment according to manufacturing specifications. Monitor the quality of output to identify, discard or re-manufacture faulty products
  • Interpret required formulas for correct product creation
  • Scan or input formulas manually into machine
Maintain accurate daily production records so that manufacturing performance can be analysed. Coach and mentor less experienced workers to help them use production equipment or resolve problems
  • Document cast numbers for traceability
  • Sign off quality of product produced
