Job Description

Production ManagerSheffield S9 4WJCompetitive Salary Dependent on ExperiencePlease note: Applicants must be eligible to work in the UKOur client is a Sheffield based SME, specialising in the manufacture of medical device packaging.An exciting opportunity has arisen within the business for a practical and "hands on" Production Manager to join the team.As Production Manager you will oversee the production process, co-ordinating all production activities and operations and driving improvements in relation to production matters throughout the business.As specialist medical device manufacturers, our clients production takes place within an ISO accredited Cleanroom facility, operating within an ISO 13485 Quality Management System, and ideally you will be used to operating within a similar industry background.As Production Manager you will be responsible for:-

  • The smooth day to day running of the Companys production operations;
  • Planning, drawing up and issuing of the production schedule;
  • Liaising with key customers and suppliers;
  • Purchasing of essential raw materials;
  • Establishing and monitoring KPIs to improve production efficiencies and increase productivity;
  • Directing and co-ordinating the maintenance of production plant, machinery and equipment;
  • Managing and motivating the workforce, including staff recruitment and retention, training and control of agency staffing requirements;
  • Planning, developing, installing and commissioning new plant, machinery and equipment;
  • Assisting with essential medical device validation activities;
  • Working within an ISO 13485 framework and ensuring all production meets the quality standards required and that customer orders are completed on time and to budget;
  • Actively pursuing operational objectives within a defined budget;
  • Collating and analysing data and producing production reports;
  • Making real improvements within the business with a view to ensuring GMP is followed at all times
