Job Description

The Procurement Administrator will join the procurement team who they will be supporting including the Senior Sourcing Lead, Procurement Manager and Category Manager. They will be involved in contributing to the delivery of an efficient and effective procurementservice.Client DetailsPage Personnel are recruiting on behalf of their client who are the largest recycler of Steel in the UK and through using Electric Arc Steel making, Vacuum Induction Melting, Mill processing and our dedicated service centres, are able to produce and supplya variety of high-value precision-engineered products for Aerospace, Oil and Gas, Industrial Engineering, Bar and Narrow Strip.DescriptionThe key responsibilities of the Procurement Administrator will be:Processing orders and checking compliance, maintain and improve product, supplier and market knowledge in relation to clients and business, pricing materials and select most appropriate supplier, identify and resolve issues whilst liaising with suppliersand purchasing team, develop and maintain supplier relationships, monitor supplier performance, use and maintain purchasing system to monitor progress of orders, log performance data, general and purchasing administration duties.ProfileThe Procurement Administrator will have/ be:

  • Detailed knowledge of procurement and tender management.
  • Experience of running a procurement process from inception through to contract award and implementation.
  • Experience of developing comprehensive fully compliant tender documentation and evaluation criteria.
  • Experience in delivering best value solutions to business requirements
  • Experience of negotiating and awarding capital investment project contracts
  • Calm and considered under pressure
  • Ability to influence and make significant business decisions
  • Confident in presenting to audiences
  • Ability to initiate and hold challenging discussions, at senior levels and across functions.
  • Adaptable approach to problem solving
  • Hands on interactive approach
