Principal Mechanical Design Engineer. Working for a successful and expanding market leader we wish to appoint a Principal Mechanical Design Engineer who will provide accurate design solutions by using CAD to support to members of the design and productionteams. It is important that you have experience of designing for highly regulated markets and that you can take responsibility for people and projects so that deadlines are met. Experience of designing rotating equipment with moving parts will stand you ingood stead. Youll split your time between hands-on design work and managing a small but expanding team of mechanical engineers on design, test, verification and production engineering activities.Principal Mechanical Design Engineer - Role and Responsibilities - AutoCAD / Mechanical Engineering / Rotating Equipment* Design of close tolerance machined components, castings and moulded parts, pressed metal components, shaft, bearing / seal design and component selection* Build and manage complex 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings* Undertaking design analysis including lifetime and strength calculations on parts and structures* Creating design layouts and schematics for design solutions* Accountability for cradle to grave ownership of a product or designPrincipal Mechanical Design Engineer - Skills and Abilities - AutoCAD / Mechanical Engineering / Rotating Equipment* A minimum of 5 years experience as a Mechanical Design Engineer* A relevant qualification in a Mechanical Engineering discipline* Experience producing DMFEA documents* Experience of designing rotating equipment with moving parts* Team leadership / supervisory experiencePrincipal Mechanical Design Engineer / ACAD / Mechanical Engineering / Rotating EquipmentIf this role could appeal please do apply now!
