As they have experienced recent growth they are now looking for an Payroll Officer to join the finance team in Sheffield on a permanent basis.Client DetailsPage Personnel are looking to recruit for a large well-known and growing professional services business. As they have experienced recent growth they are now looking for an Payroll Officer to join the finance team in Sheffield on a permanent basis.DescriptionThe Payroll Officer will be responsible for:

  • Utilising the time and attendance system to record and keep employee records up-to-date
  • Updating employee personal information records and communicating to verify and revise as needed
  • Running and reviewing payroll reports using the appropriate software and maintaining precise practices, records, and filing systems for auditing purposes
  • Validating working hours to ensure accurate reporting
  • Addressing internal and external payroll inquiries, including those from employees, HR, Finance colleagues, HMRC, etc., in a precise and professional manner
  • Precisely issuing P45s and P60s within the designated time frames
  • Developing standardized operating procedures for all payroll processes
  • Conducting root cause analysis on errors and implementing procedures to minimise mistakes
Profile
  • A proven track record within a similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft tools, particularly Excel
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to thoroughness in all tasks
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills in a professional manner
  • Exceptional organisational abilities, with the capacity to prioritise tasks effectively
