Job Description

A fantastic Payroll Manager job opportunity to work for a £500m turnover distribution business in Sheffield.In this role you will have overall responsibility for the end-to-end processing of the payroll across the Group including UK and Irish payroll, ensuring all colleagues are paid accurately and on time.Summary of Role Responsibilities:

  • Managing the monthly payroll using PayCircle and Brightpay whilst keeping to tight time constraints for 6 UK payroll schemes and 2 Irish payroll schemes
  • Managing and developing 3 payroll professionals to ensure accurate and timely information is produced
  • Accurately preparing, processing and updating the Company Pension Schemes with Aegon, Fidelity, NEST, Irish Life and Standard Life
  • Management of the monthly expenses system
  • To provide communication and updates to the Group of any payroll changes
  • Preparation of P11d’s
  • Work closely with HR
  • To ensure the Payroll team remain up to date with any payroll and legislative changes
  • Process improvements to improve efficiency
  • Any ad-hoc project work as directed by management.
  • Processing Tax Year End and P60s
Experience required:
  • CIPP qualification preferred but not essential
  • Previous experience as a Payroll Manager
  • Experience in processing a large business payroll
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to work to inflexible deadlines
  • Excellent organisational skills and able to juggle multiple demands
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to adhere to set processes and regulations
