Job Description

Were looking for a part-time HR Officer on a fixed-term basis until January 2023, who will be focused on HR Project support, interacting with different teams and working with stakeholders to map and plan duties. The post will be 2 days per week, paying£23,000 - £25,000 FTE.Client DetailsOur client is a large education provider in Sheffield.DescriptionTo provide support to the HR Service in a projects and advisory capacity to ensure the service delivered to the Trust is of the highest standard and all advice given is correct in line with employment law legislation. The HR Officer will be the first contactfor generalist HR queries, undertaking HR related projects and HR administration. The post holder will be required to respond accordingly or escalate queries to the relevant HR Advisor/HR Manager where appropriate.The HR Officer will provide advice and guidance to line managers in relation to a variety of generalist HR queries including low level absence, conduct, grievance, HR contractual documentation, HR projects, payroll and data processes.A key aspect of the role will be supporting the HR Advisors in routinely preparing and analysing HR Data and comparing against Trust KPIs.Key duties will include:

  • Being the point of contact for generalist HR queries as well as providing advice on employee relations matters where appropriate or referring to the relevant HR Advisor for further guidance where necessary
  • Supporting HR Advisors in the preparation of the relevant supporting documentation required for both formal and informal employee relations meetings, including scheduling disciplinary panels and administrative duties including outcome letters in line withpolicy and procedure.
  • Working with HR Advisors to update and maintain the letter and document template
  • Supporting on HR projects, such as the Trust Pay Policies, Terms and Conditions and structural changes to the iTrent system.
ProfileEssential Requirements:
  • CIPD qualified to level 3 or above, or willing to work towards level 3 or 5 CIPD through a funded apprenticeship
  • Previous experience working within a HR function, carrying out administration, projects and advisory tasks
  • Ability to work well as part of a team, but also able to use own initiative to prioritise tasks accordingly
  • Ability to influence and build relationships with key stakeholders at all levels
