This unique opportunity offers a great combination of part time flexible working hours, attractive pay rate (£11.50/hour) with an interesting role in developing online content resources within the primary education sector. What’s more, you don’t need specific qualifications or experience – you just need to have really solid, clear written English skills, a methodical, detailed approach to work and an eye for detail! This small but rapidly growing online business supplies primary schools and their teachers (in the UK and beyond) with active learning resources (including detailed lesson plans, videos, music, flashcards and worksheets). These resources are age appropriate and accessed via a state-of-the-art custom-built portal. The portfolio covers every aspect of the primary school curriculum - including Maths, Literacy, Science, Humanities and all the more traditional ‘active’ subjects of PE, Dance, Gymnastics, Games and even Pilates and Yoga for Primary School kids.Your role would be to support the content writers, collating and structuring their output, pulling together all the associated resources (such as graphics, flash cards, video, and music links) and entering / uploading everything to the online database before it goes live. There is a rolling programme of content, so resources are kept refreshed, creative and interesting. To be successful, your written English skills will be second to none – an ability to write in a clear, easy to understand, conversational and professional way that will appeal to primary school teachers, and in some cases the children that they teach. You’ll have a checklist to help you work within a bespoke computer-based content management system. Fast, accurate keyboard skills will help too. Most important of all, you’ll need to feel passionate about helping primary school children be more active every day, enabling them to feel better (both physically and emotionally) and benefit from improvements in both behaviour and learning outcomes. As for hours – the choice is yours. You’ll work approximately 20 hours per week and manage your own time, working when it suits you (other than update meetings which are scheduled). Initially, you’ll be working from home, and once lockdown is released, you’ll have the option to continue at home or move into a smart new office-based environment on the south east side of Sheffield.Candidate Source Ltd is an advertising agency.
