Job Description

Role: Operations ManagerSalary: Up to £55,775 per annumLocation: South Yorkshire / Sheffield/ Home basedContract type: PermanentThe Growth Company’s Employment team are looking for an Operations Manager to lead and manage a team of service managers to ensure successful delivery of a contract portfolio in order to maximize outcomes for customers, achieving financial performance targets and exceeding quality delivery standards.Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the successful delivery of contracts providing effective direction, leadership and management of a team of service delivery managers, driving high level performance
  • To exceed contractual targets in a fast-paced environment
  • Managing the complexities of a remote workforce; ensuring robust management and support in delivering a range of participant services and solutions
  • Managing individuals’ performance using the Performance Management Framework ensuring that Team Managers and other staff are exceeding their minimum performance targets, through regular performance reviews, observations, coaching and personal development
  • Ensure a responsive, effective and efficient delivery model that exceeds customer expectations in adherence with the contract specification and funding rules.
  • Ensure services are delivered with probity and integrity
  • Full Responsibility for P&L account results including achievement of income / performance targets, robust management of expenditure and staff productivity
  • Lead and manage relationships with DWP, LEP, Local Authority and City region colleagues in the relevant areas to achieve relevant customer referrals and outcomes, to integrate and embed delivery within the region and drive performance
  • About You
  • Good understanding of the Employability & Employment industry
  • Working knowledge of the principles of people management and employment law
  • Confident leader, resilient under pressure
  • Strong levels of individual initiative
  • Participative and developmental approach to staff management

  • Skills Required
  • Ability to confidently develop, build and implement outcomes from commissioner and stakeholder relationships at a strategic level
  • Ability to produce written reports to a high standard
  • Fluent interpreting and producing financial information e.g. for Profit & Loss account
  • Ability to interpret and communicate financial and statistical performance data
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluent user of ICT People management at scale
  • Track record of achieving tangible performance results
