Job Description

Job Title: Ad Hoc Teaching Assistant - NurseryLocation: South Sheffield, within a Primary SchoolHours: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Ad Hoc, Part-TimeJob Type: TemporaryJob Summary:Are you passionate about early childhood education and looking for a flexible teaching assistant role in a nursery We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our nursery, based within a well-established primary school in SouthSheffield. This is an ad hoc, part-time position with the opportunity to work flexibly around existing commitments, but a minimum availability of 3 days is required.Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in all aspects of nursery management, including daily routines, nappy changing, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate learning activities in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
  • Support and engage with children in their social, emotional, and educational development.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all children in your care.
  • Collaborate with the nursery staff and contribute to team meetings and planning.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of a Level 2 qualification in childcare or equivalent (must count towards staff-to-child ratios).
Requirements:
  • A passion for working with young children and helping them develop.
  • Flexibility to work on an ad hoc basis.
  • Availability for a minimum of 3 days per week.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to take on diverse responsibilities within the nursery.
