Job Description

Staff365 are actively recruiting for a NDT Technician on a permanent basis for our client located in Sheffield.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly respected and innovate business with over 100 years of industry knowledge and experience within their field.Salary: £24,000 - £27,000 DOE Hours of work: 37 hours per week - Days - Monday to Thursday 06:30 am to 16:15 pmWork a 4 Day Week!Responsibilities

  • To carry out manual Ultrasonic inspection to recognised international standards on tube, forgings or rolled bar.
  • To set-up, calibrate and operate automated Ultrasonic Equipment for inspecting forged cylinders.
  • Provide technical advice on matters associated with non-destructive testing.
  • Produce reports for calibration, inspection and testing carried out on the product.
  • Perform physical and visual inspection of raw materials, components and cylinders at key stages of production to ensure compliance with manufacturing standards.
  • Perform other NDT operations on manufactured products.
  • Control visiting third party inspectors and customers whilst operating in the inspection areas.
  • Perform and document first article inspections to support the component qualification process.
  • Carry out identification marking of product to ensure product traceability throughout its operational lifespan.
  • To support the service team (Integrity Management) through deployment to customer site, potentially worldwide, on an occasional basis.
