Job Description

Job Title: NDT Radiography Technician (Level 2 X-Ray)Sector: Aerospace & ManufacturingSalary: £25,000 - £30,000 depending on experience.Location: Sheffield, South YorkshireContract: Full Time / PermanentAre you an experienced engineering NDT X-Ray Technician with a passion for aerospace and automotive engineeringVerus Recruitment Partners are pleased to be supporting a South Yorkshire based leading international aerospace & automotive manufacturer. We are supporting the Recruitment of a (None Destructive Testing) NDT X-Ray (Radiography) Technician on a full-time basis due continued growth and projects.As a self motivated NDT X-Ray Technician, you will be an experienced in Conducting NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) tests using specific techniques on aerospace products. You will be tasked with:Job Purpose:

  • You will understand the products, equipment set-up, and NDT operations.
  • Be able to follow specific operating procedures.
  • Follow and promote Health & Safety practices.
  • Interpret and evaluate test results.
    • Duties:
  • Work with X-Ray generating equipment.
  • Understand radiographic testing.
  • Processing radiographic films.
  • Review routers, procedures, specifications, and other instructions for completeness and instructions to perform the operation.
  • Set-up, operate and calibrate all X-Ray equipment.
  • Maintenance of all equipment, making sure it is in good order to use.
  • Assist with all process and control checks
  • Generate new and amend Data Cards as required.
  • Interpret, evaluate and report evaluation results as required and outlined.
    • About You:
  • Experience of working within a Radiography department.
  • Experience of working with X-Ray equipment.
  • Be able to provide logged hours as NDT X-ray technician.
  • The ability to work in a team and autonomously.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills.
  • Problem solving skills and the ability to multitask.
  • Excellent communicator and a Team player.
  • The ability to work in a fast paced and high-pressured environment.
  • Aerospace and or/ automotive experience ideally.
  • Ability to work shift patterns in line with company policy.
