Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working in partnership with a large Aerospace business based within the Sheffield area.They currently have a rare opportunity for a FPI level 2 Inspector to join their existing team. PAY:£29,266 + Shift Allowance of 12.5% (£32,924)HOURS:Current hours of work are Monday - Friday 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pmThere are no current plans to implement a night shift, however applicants must be prepared to adjust to a 3 shift pattern should this change in the future. If this applied the shift allowance will increase to 17%.JOB OVERVIEW:As an FPI Inspector you will be required to Conduct NDT (Non Destructive Testing) tests using specific techniques on aerospace products.RESPONSIBILITIES:* Review routers, procedures, specifications and any other instructions for completeness and instructions to perform the operation* Process parts in accordance with procedures and technical instructions* Set up, calibrate and perform process control checks on equipment by following instructions and record results* To generate new/amend NDT data cards for approval by the Level III* Interpret, evaluate and report evaluation results as required* Fill out required logs and statistical data sheets as required* Maintain required job skills and knowledge of requirements (including procedures, specifications etc.)* Maintain work area, equipment and all documents/records to be audit ready at all times* Provide on the job training to trainees and fellow level II inspectors when requiredSKILLS & EXPERIENCE:* Currently or previously held NAS410/EN4179 Level II FPI* Currently or previously held PCN Level II FPI* Aerospace background (desirable)COMPANY BENEFITS:* Generous Holiday Allowance + Bank Holidays + Christmas leave* Free parking* Pension Scheme
