Job Description

Adecco Sheffield require a Mill Team Worker for a massive client in SheffieldThe rate of pay will be £10.48 with 17% shift allowance and quarterly bonus entitlement from the date they start working for us.JOB PURPOSE AND KEY TASKSThe Mill Team Workers role is to essentially cover the operational activates of the mill area, including the operation of the " Sund" binder and furnace. Will work directly with the Roller.Important Tasks would include some or all of the following -(Not an exhaustive list)

  • Health & Safety responsibility for all activities.
  • Direct responsibility to communicate emergency situations.
  • To work according to the SWP, EWP, and QA procedures.
  • To assist with mill set ups, during size/pass changes.
  • To assist the Roller to ensure that plant operation is performed in a manner that supports the Production Schedule.
  • To assist with the observation/monitoring of the mill, and to report all plant maintenance, reliability, and quality problems to the Roller.
  • To cut and remove scrap.
  • To perform all required mill duties as necessary.
  • Liaise with Roller regarding plant maintenance requirements.
  • To perform first line maintenance as required.
  • To report all process activates, using the appropriate shift reports, as required.
  • To undertake other duties as necessary to the limit of individual competence.
KEY REQUIREMENTSThe successful candidates will ideally have:-
  • Commitment to safety.
  • Previous experience of FLT and Crane driving,
  • Knowledge of rod coil manufacture.
  • Ability to undertake key first line maintenance activities.
  • Team player.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Drive, enthusiasm, commitment and flexibility.
