Job Description

MEWP Operator/Driver – Spider is supporting a specialist access company that works collaboratively with their clients to provide safe and efficient access solutions. They are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced MEWP Operator/ Driver to join them on a permanent basis based in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. The successful MEWP Operator/ Driver will join the Operations team, reporting into the Operations Manager. You will be part of a highly dedicated and professional team, which is responsible for delivering the highest quality of service to the client base.The MEWP Operator/ Driver role and key responsibilities will be:

  • Driving company lorries and vehicles and operating MEWP’s.
  • Loading, unloading and strapping down vehicles.
  • Completing all pre/post checks, handing in relevant forms to Maintenance Foreman.
  • Maintaining company vehicles to a clean and presentable standard, escalating any issues to Maintenance Manager.
  • Complete Site Survey to Elev8 Standards, to identify conditions and machines required.
  • Using lift equipment on site, as outlined in Site Survey
  • Complete all relevant documentation, where applicable in conjunction with H&S Manager, Group Engineer, BSM’s and Clients
  • Act as the face of Elev8 on-site and develop relationships to identify project opportunities.
  • Prepared to undertake all MEWP up to 75 m and lifting attachments familiarization as well as complete Elev8 inhouse loading and unloading course
  • Maintain a high standard of Health and Safety both in the depot and when on site.
    • As the MEWP Operator/ Driver, you will have:
  • Industry knowledge and experience of operating truck mounted access platforms and tracked platforms.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Attention to detail to complete relevant reports and administration
  • Hold IPAF qualification and minimum of a full UK class C driving licence.
    • This is a full-time permanent role. With the working hours of 45 hours per week.
