Elevation Engineering & Manufacturing have an outstanding opportunity within a specialist global business who are looking to add a Metallurgist to their growing technical team in 2022.The successful candidate will work within an established and experienced technical team and play a pivotal role in the metallurgical processes on site.The Metallurgists duties and responsibilities include:- Ensure the laboratory continues to comply with site wide requirements, Nadcap and customer requirements.- Complete metallurgical tests as part of material property evaluations and welding qualification as per various international standards eg. ISO, ASTM etc. and customer requirements- Work closely with technicians to carry out cross functional work and testing- Review and maintain testing procedures in line with international standards- Validation, maintenance and development, of the laboratory equipment- Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and maintain high on time delivery and first time right performanceI am keen to speak to metallurgists with the following:- A Metallurgy or Metal Science Degree- Experience working in a lab either currently or previously- Fantastic problem-solving skills and a willingness to work cross functionally across multiple teams- Previous experience in a similar metallurgical roleAre you passionate about driving change in a business where Metallurgy is key to further business development This role provides a huge opportunity to widen your exposure to a range of different industries and materials.
