Job Description

Metalis are working with a world class steel casting company who design and manufacture components for various industries such as defence and rail. Im currently recruiting for a Mechancial MaintenanceTeam Leader to join the team on on a permanent and full-time basis.The Role:

  • Lead the team on day-to-day maintenance activities and be the bridge between the team and senior management
  • Maximise productivity and continual Learning & Development of the team
  • Allocate duties to the team
  • Demonstrate a strong general knowledge of Foundry / Heavyindustrial machinery
  • Support the maintenance team in daily duties relating to Safety, Quality, and Delivery
  • Implement and influence Health and Safety strategyBe capable of reading pneumatic, hydraulic and engineeringdrawings
The Candidate:
  • Inspirational Leader able to effect change quickly
  • Working with the team to solve problems/issues
  • Have completed Mechanical Engineering Apprenticeship, ONC, NVQlevel3 minimum
  • Have at least 5years previous experience as a Fitter, within a similar industrial environment
  • Experience on Overhead Cranes, Shell Moulding equipment, high frequency furnaces, injection moulding, sand mixers.
  • Ambitious and wanting to move the department forward
The Package:
  • £40,000 - £45,000
  • Days Regular
  • Overtime Available
