Job Description

As a time served Fitter working within a progressive team of fitter/ assemblers on either the day or night shift you will be working on a variety of projects both in our assembly shop or on our external build area. You will be expected to work as an individual or as part of a team you should be highly experienced in working to drawings and instructions.Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe role has day to day tasks including:

  • Working as part of the assembly team you should be able to contribute using your skills as part of a team or individually with the minimum of supervision.
  • Working to engineering drawings, procedures, specifications both written and verbal.
  • Being task focused with an aptitude to do both heavy and precision assembly.
  • Completing client/ in house reports and data sheets.
  • Working with various hand tools and power tools.
  • The use of OHC & FLT.
  • Following all Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental procedures laid down in the Company Handbook.
  • Using good interpersonal skills as communication between team is vital.
  • Experience in working to deadlines accurately and efficiently.
  • Skills and Knowledge.
  • Good literacy skills and basic IT skills.
  • Knowledge of working in an active engineering environment would be beneficial within a mechanical, electrical, pneumatic or hydraulic capacity.
  • Time served in an Engineering based discipline.
  • Undertake necessary training to gain a level of multi-skilling.
  • Knowledge of fabrication, welding and drilling
  • Working with various hand tools and power tools.
