Mechanical Assembler £24,000 - £26,000 Depending on experiencePermanent, full time position Monday-Thursday 7am – 3.30pm Friday 7am – 1pmThe CompanySteel Cactus Recruitment are working exclusively with our client to find an experienced Mechanical Assembler. In the heart of steel city; our client is a well-established supplier to various sectors including recycling and water. Due to business demand ourclient is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to work on a permanent basis.Responsibilities• You will be producing a large component product used over various sectors including recycling and water sewerage. Your part in the process is assembling the product; this will be up to 5 tons in weight so experience in heavy engineering will be useful. • The product will come to you from the fabricators in parts so you will be assembling these parts• Experience in creating products like conveyors will be extremely useful• You will ideally have previous experience using an overhead crane and FLT; it would be very advantageous.• You will be assembling from reading engineering drawings so experience in this is essential• There might be some additional responsibilities including painting large components and packing the productThe candidate• The ideal candidate will have worked in a heavy engineering environment previously
