Job Description

Master Production Scheduler – Sheffield - £30,000 - £34,000Chase & Holland are excited to be working with a highly successful Fortune 250company based in Sheffield who are currently recruiting a Master Production Scheduler to join their team. Reporting to the Production Manager, this role will see you effectively plan and communicate material and workflow in accordance with customer demand and wider operational objectives. The role will play an integral part in the success of the site and the wider business strategy for growth by acting as the sole responsibility for production scheduling and policing adherence. Master Production Scheduler Responsibilities:

  • Set manufacturing schedule for all Sheffield value streams in accordance with customer demand and operational objectives
  • Monitor progression and deviation of master-schedule, projecting likelihood of success or failure to allow time to generate counter measures
  • Develop and maintain systems to ensure capacity is always utilised effectively – providing future demand patterns to departmental leaders
  • Reacting to varying demands and changing priorities to support commercial goals
  • Develop and monitor effective schedule adherence KPI’s
  • Become an expert in the use of the business’ MRP database (JD Edwards)
  • Ensure data is maintained to the highest possible standard
  • Lead, deliver and communicate master schedule demands to all functions
  • Monitor, utilise and prevent Excess & Obsolete (E&O) Inventory
  • Ensure 5S workplace organisation standards are always met
  • Conduct any other reasonable duties as requested by management
  • Hours:Full-time, Monday to Friday 7am – 3pm (Flex)Required Skills & Experience:
  • Demonstrable experience (+5yrs) in a similar role
  • MRP/ERP and Business Intelligence tools experience
  • Strong MS Excel skills – Creating spreadsheets and data manipulation
  • Comfortable reporting facts and figures to senior management
  • Detailed knowledge of the mechanics of delivery performance, capacity planning and inventory/resource management
  • A proven track record working as a Master Scheduler in a busy manufacturing organization
  • A background in LEAN manufacturing, S&OP, forecasting and master scheduling
