REED Engineering & Manufacturing are working with a fast growing Engineering & Manufacturing companyMaintenance Engineer - Manual & CNC MachinesJob SummaryThis is a full-time on-site role for a service engineer. The applicant will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance and repair of machinery, with an emphasis on preventive maintenance following an initial period. They will use their expertise to ensuremachinery operates efficiently, safely, and reliably.-Experience in maintaining manual and CNC lathes and vertical boring machines-A forensic knowledge of Herbert 9s, 12s and 14s lathes and Webster & Bennett vertical borers is preferred.-Strong technical skills in preventive maintenance and maintenance-Ability to perform machinery installations and upgrades such as, but not restricted to, guarding.-Knowledge and understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems is needed for some of the machinery.-Ability to work independently and as part of a team and a genuine desire to work with and inspire the next generation of engineers with a minimum of one apprentice joining in September 2024 being assigned to you.Whilst we recognise the importance of being time served we do also require the candidate to have formal qualifications in this field as they need to understand the formal structure of training to ensure effective delivery to apprentices
