Job Description

An experienced Maintenance Engineer is needed to join the team at this premium boring and turning company based in Sheffield on a full-time basis.You will be required to provide assistance in the repair, service and preventative maintenance of their machines in the workshop. These include but are not limited to Deep hole borers, manual lathes, Honing machines and CNC Lathes.As their Maintenance Engineer, you will be required to report directly to the Workshop Manager.This is an excellent opportunity to progress your career with a well-established company!About the CompanyThrough considerable growth since its conception, its excellent reputation has been built over many years by providing high-quality solutions combined with a trusted and reliable service. They specialise in deep hole boring, drilling, honing and CNC turningfor global clients in multiple sectors.Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the maintenance of all machinery to ensure continuous production
  • Produce, develop and implement a planned preventative maintenance program
  • Develop maintenance policies and procedures
  • Undergo fault finding for any failed machinery
  • Carry out mechanical fitting work as required
  • Report regularly regarding any issues
  • Attend meetings as required as part of your role
  • Document and control of maintenance request sheets
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with Health and Safety requirements
Required Skills:
  • Demonstrable experience
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Time-served apprentice-trained
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Flexibility with working hours to ensure the demands of the business are met
Desirable Experience:
  • Electrical knowledge would be advantageous
  • CNC machine tool experience is preferred
