Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working exclusively with a metals manufacturer based in Sheffield to recruit a Machine Shop Manager. This is a great opportunity to join an established business with full management responsibility as well as achievingall department targets. The Production Supervisor duties & responsibilities will include but are not limited to:* Full responsibility for the Machine Shop, including all operational, H&S and financial targets* Engagement of team to drive forward a continuous improvement strategy* Performance management of team, ensuring company values are embedded, accountability is understood and continually promoting a safety first culture* Creation and ownership of CAPEX proposals* Use Lean Manufacturing Principles to drive out waste and increase productivity * Support and coordinate Annual Stock Count We are keen to speak with Production leaders that possess the following skills and experiences:* Engineering background with previous management responsibility, Aerospace or Gas would be advantageous * Experience and extensive knowledge of a CNC/Manual machine shop* Awareness of the steel forgings industry* Full understanding of key business areas including, Operations, Finance, Supply Chain, Planning & Maintenance * Confident manager with excellent communication skillsThis role would suit manufacturing professionals in the following roles: Production Supervisor, Production Manager, Shift Manager, Machine Shop Manager, Manufacturing Manager.Elevation Engineering & Manufacturing is a specialist recruitment consultancy dealing with senior engineering, technical and operational positions in Yorkshire, Derbyshire, and the surrounding regions.
