REED Engineering & Manufacturing are working with a leading Engineering & Manufacturing company.Lean Manufacturing Process leadJob SummaryTo Lead the Lean Manufacturing Processes of the Companies Manufacturing supply chain and deploy process improvements to gain ROI through efficiencies. To be the continuous improvement and Lean Manufacturing expert, ensuring site wide education and deploymentof process improvements via the existing teams and external sub-contractors. Lead all lean initiatives such as Value Stream mapping and 5S deployment for all business processes To Develop and embed the Process Flow through the deployment of the Theory of Constraints ensuring mixed product level load and appropriate buffers are in place To drive the education and deployment of problem-solving process via Lean methodologies (Ishikawa / 5 WHY) Set the Governance and deployment strategy of all Lean projects Manage delivery of the specific project deliverables (as defined in the project charter) with teams from across all business functions and external partners Develop strong relationships, transferring skills and capability to all employees Conduct detailed diagnostic of agreed focus area, and establish current state and opportunities Collate findings, drawing conclusions and implications from data-analysis. Identify and implement the more immediate short term win opportunities on a project Define and set future state targets, KPIs and objectives with departmental heads and agree with exec group Design an improved future state and implement effectively in line with business plans and operational requirements to deliver targets/KPIs Deliver reports/feedback to the executive team (including plans to meet objectives) Prepare for and communicate effectively with and gather information from all organisational levels up. Communicate effectively to internal stakeholders, escalating risks as required Work with and coach operational management at all levels to gain trust and support for the projectMain Duties and ResponsibilitiesSkills Experience and Qualification Experience/competency in all lean methodologies, in particular process flow, Value Stream Mapping and 5S essential. Experience/competency in at least one of the following: Lean Six Sigma, Agile, Change Management and Operations Management in Manufacturing Min Qualified Green Belt in Lean Six Sigma and have demonstrable experience delivering benefits (Black Belt preferred) although other experience may be considered Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills. Effective and influential communicator, Open and collaborative team-player and passionate about continuous learning. Demonstrable project management capabilities gained in industry.Qualities & Attributes Ability to manage across functions, influencing others to drive departmental business plan deliverables Demonstrates personal discipline to apply the requirements and accepted standards Demonstrates a proactive and motivated attitude clear drive to achieve results Ability to drive communication at all levels both internally and externallyThe position also includes a quarterly bonus of 7.5% + pension etc
