Job Description

We are working with one of the UKs top trade retailers who are going through a significant period of growth. Despite there being a global pandemic, this business had their best year in 2021 with sales circa 2.1b and their tech team continues to grow. This isan exciting opportunity for a Senior Sitecore Developer to move into a Lead role.What you will be doing:You will be the technical lead for an expanding development team. Reporting to the Software Delivery Manager you will be leading the technical roadmap for some exciting projects. You will support the team to deliver excellent quality solutions as well as workingclosely with the architecture function to plan and implement the roadmap to support business initiatives.What experience you will need:
  • Sitecore accredited (preferably).
  • Experience within C# .Net Development.
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud platform.
  • .NET using C# 4.0 or higher.
  • .NET Core 1.0 or higher.
  • Visual Studio 2013 or higher.
  • Relational databases like SQL Server or Oracle.
  • Front-End scripting (e.g. React, JavaScript, SASS, Angular JS).
  • Source control: TFS / GIT / VSTS.
  • Working on technical projects from inception through to delivery.
  • Good understanding of unit testing frameworks and test coverage (Experience of automated Testing using a variety of MS Test, xUnit, Jet Brains, Selenium and Moq would be useful).
  • Demonstrable experience of object-oriented design patterns, code refactoring and awareness of SOLID principles.
  • Commercial experience using the MVC pattern.
  • Good exposure and understanding of Web services using Restful APIs.
