An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lead Outpatient co-coordinator to join to Gastroenterology and Hepatology team. The post will be based across site at both the Northern General and the Royal Hallamshire Hospital . This role will be a fantastic development opportunity that will open up many opportunities to learn new skills and gain knowledge. The department currently has 30 physicians that are involved inpatient , outpatient and elective activity. This role will contribute to the effective delivery of patient pathways, ensuring trust and national targets are met such as 18 week wait, ensure the outpatients team are delivering a high standard service, and most importantly ensure patients receive a first class service.You will need to be educated to GCSE level C in English and Maths or equivalent, and be able to evidence this at interview. Relevant administration and clerical experience is essential, preferably within a health care setting. You will have some experience of supervising a team and ideally have a working knowledge of current HR policies and procedures. You must require a willingness to undertake training as identified in line with the post.You will require a working knowledge of Microsoft packages, as well as other trust systems such as Lorenzo , E-whiteboard and ICE.You will be able to work as part of a team as well as independently and able to enjoy the challenges presented by balancing the routine with the complex. You will be self-motivated, and confident to work with the general public.
