Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain are delighted to be working with a globally recognised Innovative Manufacturing business based in Sheffield in the search for a Lead Operational Buyer, supporting both the Materials and Production teams through datadriven, accurate information, supporting the whole Supply Chain process. My client is looking for a highly driven and analytical individual who can demonstrate relevant experience within a fast paced, manufacturing environment. This role will require excellent attention to detail with a capacity to recognise problems and proactivelyseek to resolve these. The successful incumbent will have the ability to work to tight deadlines and be comfortable with all forecasting and planning processes, including experience with MRP systems. Communication skills are paramount as you will be required to report all findings,solutions, and improvements to the senior leadership team. Key duties and responsibilities will include: - Receive, assess and store goods whilst communicating with all relevant departments and stakeholders- Implement expediting strategies and plans- Physical movements of stock to and from stores- Conduct risk assessment of suppliers to effectively manage all tiers of the supply chain in order to maintain and / or improve contractual delivery dates- Control of despatching of goods from stores working with Logistics- Ensure all engineering disciplines comply with project documentation approval cycles- To perform stock checks and periodic audits within stores to ensure stock levels are correctElevation Procurement & Supply Chain would be keen to speak with candidates who have the following skills and experiences: - Relevant experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment- Strong numerical and analytical skills with a methodical approach to completing tasks- Confident with Word and Excel, alongside an ERP/MRP system- Ability to drive continuous improvement- Strong analytical skillsElevation Procurement & Supply Chain is a specialist division of Elevation Recruitment focusing on engineering, operational and technical positions in Yorkshire and surrounding regions.
