Job Description

Part time 26 hours, Permanent Post - White Willows - Extra Care SchemeWe have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, positive and innovative individual to join our dedicated team at White Willows, one of our Extra Care Services in Sheffield.Were looking for somebody who loves working with older people. You will be part of an experienced and enthusiastic team providing Intensive Housing Management related support to our customers whilst promoting independence by maximising the controls customers,over the age of 55 have over their lives.For our perfect candidate, we are offering a great package of benefits, working in a caring and friendly team.Some of SYHAs benefits:

  • Starting salary: £20,601 per annum (£14,476 per annum pro rata)
  • Working Hours: Part time - 26 hours per week ideally Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday but negotiable

More about the role:In this role you will:
  • Assess customer suitability for a place at the scheme. Once moved in you will provide support to help with managing their property.
  • Support our customers to maintain a Healthy and Safe environment in which to live.
  • Have a positive, sensitive and constructive approach to working with our customers, colleagues and professionals.
  • Show enthusiasm about helping others, be approachable and encouraging with customers.
Who you are:You will be passionate about customer service and have a real commitment to supporting customers to achieve their aspirations, goals and help them maximise their full potential.The successful candidate would need to:
  • Have previous experience of supporting vulnerable people
  • Have knowledge and experience of housing management to support people in managing their tenancy
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the needs of older people and can inspire people to engage and be active within their community.
  • Can motivate people to make new friends and build connections
  • Have good problem-solving skills
  • Capability to use a wide range of IT software
  • Great organisational and observational skills
