Job Description

Role: IT ManagerSalary: Up to £45,000 per year.Location: SheffieldOur client is looking for an IT Manager to manage the day-to-day delivery of key IT services across four offices and a team of 80. This role requires a hands-on approach where you will be the main point of contact for all in-house technical queries and support.Experience in providing first line support to end-users and the ability to lead development and projects such as business wide system implementations and upgrades will be required.Job Specification:

  • Sole point of contact for all in-house technical queries and support
  • Responsibility for ensuring all services, applications and IT equipment remain fully operational.
  • Procurement and control of IT assets
  • Forward thinking to create a plan of IT projects and priorities
  • Identification of any opportunities to reduce cost/risk
  • Continuous monitoring of system performance e.g. Zabbix
  • Making recommendations for improvements
  • Regular review and ensuring compliance of all IT processes, policies, and procedures
  • Diagnose and resolve laptop, printer, and peripheral device faults
  • Provide advice and assistance to users on use of IT equipment and systems.
  • Ownership of IT/Cyber Security, including Cyber Essentials Plus accreditation
  • Setting up and issuing of new and replacement equipment
Skills Requirements:
  • Broad understanding and experience with IT systems, infrastructure, and networks
  • Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, VPN, RDS, Anti-Virus, Cloud PBX, Firewalls
  • Experience of Software licenses management and deployment
  • At least 2 years in a similar role
  • Confident communicator, ability to explain in plain language effectively
  • Problem solving
  • Team player
  • Willingness and ability to travel to other offices
  • Full UK driving licence
