Job Description

International Sales Manager £45,000 - 55,000 + Car and BonusElevation Recruitment are excited to be working with a family owned business, looking to further develop its market leading position internationally where it has seen rapid growth in the last seven years. Our client are an award-winning manufacturing business supplying into Retailers and distributors in over 40 countries. This role with be focused on the European Business, developing and managing the extensive network of agents, distributors and retailers which have been built up, and the selection and onboarding of new partners.Role and Responsibilities:

  • To develop, manage and control a portfolio of international territories and customers/distributors with particular focus on Europe
  • Work effectively and monitor weekly agents, distributors and retailers in each territory depending upon the agreed strategy for each region.
  • Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and other sales methods to optimise quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
  • Plan and manage personal business portfolio and accounts according to an agreed market development strategy
  • Plan and prioritise personal sales activities, journey plan and customer/prospect contact effectively, and report on actual activity as required
  • Assist in the preparation of business plans to develop each territory to its maximum potential and conduct regular reviews.
  • Attend and present competently at external customer meetings and internal meetings with key team members of other departments
  • Attend at international and local trade shows as required, especially Nuremberg and Hong Kong.
Key Knowledge and Skills
  • Relevant experience in Toy or other Consumer Product sectors
  • Strong knowledge of the European retail landscape.
  • Regular overseas travel into Europe will be required- at least once a month
  • Selling, negotiating and influencing skills
  • Ability to liaise effectively with teams within other departments, particularly NPD, Marketing, Customer Service, Sales Support and Finance
  • Problem identification and solving
  • Strategic thinking and commercial acumen
