Job Description

Internal Management Accountant - Part Time (25 hours/week)The RoleAs a result of the ongoing success, this rapidly expanding, multi million pound transportation business has a newly created position of internal management accountant.The position is a part-time role of around 25 hours/week, offering complete flexibility when these hours are workedDuties and ResponsibilitiesThe role of Internal Management Accountant will maintain multiple sites accounting records, this will include :

  • Entry of Purchase invoices to Sage 50 & Fully Maintain the purchase ledger for continual monitoring of aged payable
  • Detailed bank reconciliations consisting of a significant number of weekly transactions
  • Fully maintain Sage 50 to allow the preparation of Monthly management accounts
  • Reconciliation of Wages for 50 employees on a weekly basis on Xero (payroll processed by external provider)
  • Calculate intercompany recharges for the provision of labour and fully reconcile
  • Recognition of income for coach tours
  • Completion and Submission of monthly VAT returns
  • Work along side Operating directors to ensure tight controls of costs
  • Monitor deadlines for subscriptions/memberships and insurance policies
  • Maintain multiple finance areas to ensure all commitments of the companies can be met and report to the director
  • Maintain detailed in-depth fixed asset register inclusive of a fleet of coaches
  • Report to the external accountants and the director fully reconciled accounts monthly
Opportunity for right candidate to advance to preparation of forecasts, projections and Consolidated accounts.Skills and Qualities
  • AAT qualified or equivalent, application are also strongly encouraged from individual who are qualified by experience
  • Excellent proficiency in Sage 50 Accounts
  • A minimum of 5 + year’s accounting experience
Salary Package
  • Salary - £30,000 - £36,000 (FTE) Depending on Experience - Hours 25 per week with the option of increasing depending on responsibilities undertaken.
