Job Description

This role as an Interim Head of Financial Control and Compliance will provide the successful candidate with an exciting opportunity to lead a team within the Accounting and Finance Department of a reputable organisation in Sheffield.Client DetailsThe organisation is a well-established institution, known for its contribution to education and research. Operating within the heart of Sheffield, it is recognised for its large employee base and strong community presence.DescriptionA successful Interim Head of Financial Control and Compliance will be responsible for:

  • Overseeing and managing the financial control and compliance of the department.
  • Lead and mentor a dedicated finance team.
  • Develop and implement effective financial strategies and controls.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review and enhance financial reporting systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the team and department.
  • Contribute to the overall strategic planning of the department.
ProfileA successful Interim Head of Financial Control and Compliance should have:
  • Professional qualifications in Accounting and Finance.
  • Proven leadership knowledge in a similar role within the not-for-profit sector.
  • Excellent knowledge of financial control and compliance regulations.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders.
  • The ability to develop and implement strategic financial plans.
Job Offer
  • An estimated salary range of £68,000 to £87,000 (GBP).
