Job Description

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with a fast-paced manufacturing business in the recruitment of an interim General Manager.Our client is based in Sheffield, and is dedicated to producing high quality consumer goods, with a commitment to innovation, sustainability, and excellence this interim General Manager will lead their team during a critical transitional period.As interim General Manager you will play a pivotal role in steering manufacturing operations for Sheffield. Reporting directly to the executive team you will be responsible for overseeing day to day operations; optimising processes and driving efficiencygains to ensure the continued success of the site.Duties & Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Providing strategic direction and firsthand leadership
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements, implementing changes to enhance productivity, reducing costs, and making efficiency gains.
  • Lead, coach, mentor, manage and inspire a cross functional team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaborative and results oriented work-based environment.
  • Collaborate with finance to manage budgets and controlling costs whilst maintaining high quality standards.
  • Implement and uphold stringent quality control measures.
  • Work closely with supply chain and procurement teams to ensure seamless operations and delivery of raw materials.
  • Uphold and enforce health and safety standards, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Maintain open and transparent communication with the executive team, regularly update on KPIs and operational performance and challenges.

  • Proven General Manager within FMCG Manufacturing
  • Degree qualified
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, quality control and supply chain management
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills
  • Demonstrable skills driving process improvements and operational excellence.
  • Effective communication and people skills
  • Budget management experience
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations
