Job Description

Import/Export Shipping Clerk – Sheffield – Circa £25,000 - £27,500Chase & Holland are excited to be partnering with a leading international manufacturing business who are looking to recruit an Import/Export Shipping Clerk to join their business.As Import/Export Shipping Clerk, you will provide shipping advice to all stakeholders within the business and support with creating and developing a new shipping department. You will have full understanding of all current legislation and international tradeagreements.The business is seeing a strong period of growth year on year and this newly created role is a fantastic opportunity for someone to join a global business that can offer a fantastic friendly working environment and internal development.In Return You’ll Receive:

Responsibilities of the Import/Export Shipping Clerk:
  • Work with Group Supply Chain to benchmark freight suppliers and customs clearance agents
  • Keep up to date with legislation and any international trade agreements and inform all relevant stakeholders
  • Work with Group Supply Chain for opportunities to reduce the company’s carbon footprint
  • Raise Purchase Orders where needed to cover freight invoices
  • Manage invoice queries where needed
  • Monitor and report on suppliers’ performance
  • Hold regular supplier reviews
Hours of work: Monday – Thursday: 8am – 4:30pm and Friday 8am – 3:30pm.Skills Required:
  • 3+ years’ experience in a shipping import/export role
  • A background within Engineering, Manufacturing or FMCG (desirable)
  • MS Office and Analytical skills
  • Team player
