Job Description

Pratap Partnership are delighted to be exclusively partnering with a world-wide industry leading aerospace manufacturing business based in Sheffield. We are helping the business appoint an Import / Export specialistto workclosely with the Commercial, Logisticsand Planning teams, the role will be responsible for import/export customs compliance for the Sheffield site, including Special Customs Processes and ITAR Aerospace regulations.

  • Responsible for managing all import and export documentation to ensure regulatory requirements are met, including collating and storing documentation, reviewing clearance documents to ensure UK HMRC customs compliant and requesting post entry amendmentswhere necessary through C285, C81 forms.
  • Provide clearance instructions for the import of goods including determining correct HS and CPC codes.
  • Monitoring progress of parts bought in under Inward Processing (IP), quarterly bill of discharge submission to HMRC, obtaining extensions where required.
  • Develop a strong knowledge of UK import entry and export process, related rules and compliance including special customs processes and export licenses for controlled goods.
  • Monitor changes in import and export regulations ensuring we are up to date with industry best practices and incorporating new technologies and strategies to enhance the site’s capabilities
  • Implement and manage processes for screening potential customers, suppliers, partners, and other business entities
  • Become an ITAR champion for the site, developing our ITAR regulation compliance policy

  • Experience with Inward Process Relief and associated reporting requirements
