Job Description

The Role Are you a HR professional looking for an opportunity to develop your skills and experience within a busy and progressive HR team The Sheffield Students Union are looking for a HR Support Assistant on a fixed term contract for 1 year maternity cover. Thepurpose of this role is to support the Students Union HR team in a wide range of activities such as:

  • Supporting the team with the recruitment cycle including placing adverts, liaising with candidates and recruiting managers
  • Maintaining accurate HR systems and supporting colleagues in the organisation with any technical queries relating to their self service portal.
  • Providing excellent customer service to our staff and students including being a welcoming point of contact in the office
  • Pay queries
  • Starter and leaver administration
The SU is an exciting organisation to work for with various different outlets and departments, each day varies with staff enquiries and HR projects.We are looking for someone with:
  • An exceptional eye for detail
  • The ability to take ownership of problems and work hard to resolve them
  • The confidence to work independently and to bring fresh new ideas to the organisation
  • To build strong relationships with all of the stakeholders throughout the SU
  • A keen interest in HR and developing in the field

Salary: Frontline Assistant D - £18,694 - £21,993 based on experienceHours: 35 hour per weekClosing date: 4th January 2022Interviews: 12th January 2022Start Date: Early February
