Job Description

Working closely with all three functional experts of the People leadership team: Head of OD, Head of HR Change and Head of HR Operations, as well as the HR Project Manager, this role will assist in the delivery of an exemplary, agile, customer-focused Peopleservice.This role will support line managers and ensure high quality, consistent and efficient advice, and guidance on a full range of people matters is provided.Client DetailsThis organisation is a significant public sector entity in South Yorkshire, overseeing numerous services for the local community. As they embark on a change journey, this is a great opportunity for a forward-thinking HR Advisor who can confidently supportand guide line managers aligned to the people strategy.Description

  • Provide HR guidance and advice across the organisation
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures
  • Support the Head of HR Change with organisational redesigns by co-creating role profiles with the responsible line manager. As well as providing support on all associated consultation correspondence thus ensuring consistency and transparency across thebusiness.
  • Manage employee relations issues, including conflict resolution and disciplinary procedures
  • Support recruitment and selection processes
  • Manage performance review processes
  • Facilitate staff training and development initiatives
  • Maintain compliance with employment legislation
  • Contribute positively to the HR team and wider organisation
ProfileA successful HR Advisor should have:
  • Relevant qualifications in Human Resources
  • Experience of working in a similar role within the public sector
  • Sound knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices
  • Trained in job evaluation (ideal!)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple HR tasks and projects
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently
