Job Description

Job Title: Remote HPC Storage EngineerLocation: RemoteChapman Tate Associates is currently working as the recruitment agency on behalf of a leading technology firm, which is seeking a Remote HPC (High-Performance Computing) Storage Engineer to join their dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity for a talentedindividual who is passionate about cutting-edge technology and wants to make a significant impact in the field of high-performance computing.Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing, implementing, and managing high-performance storage solutions for HPC environments.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize storage performance and scalability.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving storage-related issues to ensure uninterrupted operation.
  • Conducting performance analysis and capacity planning to meet evolving business needs.
  • Implementing and maintaining data protection and disaster recovery strategies.
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends and best practices in HPC storage technologies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing storage solutions for HPC environments.
  • Proficiency in storage technologies such as Lustre, GPFS, BeeGFS, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of parallel file systems, object storage, and data management concepts.
  • Experience with storage networking protocols (e.g., InfiniBand, Ethernet, Fibre Channel).
  • Familiarity with cloud storage solutions (AWS S3, Azure Blob, Google Cloud Storage) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
