Job Description

Ref: 5Role:Helpdesk EngineerSalary: £20,000-£25,000 DOELocation:SheffieldHours: Monday-FridayWe’re working with a leading IT company who are seeking a Helpdesk Engineer to join their team. You will work as part of a team that offers remote support to clients and will have excellent written and spoken communication skills.Key Responsibilities:

  • Interface with end users via telephone, e-mail and remote-control software
  • Provide excellent service to clients and set expectations based on agreed processes
  • To manage all service requests in accordance with agreed SLA’s
  • To own’ end user issues through to resolution or escalation
  • Keep Service Desk software updated with case developments at all times
The successful candidate:Required:
  • Ability to carry out network / PC software & Hardware diagnostics verbally and / or remotely
  • Have Knowledge of Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 10)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 2016 & 2019
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 administration
  • Experience of managing users in Active Directory
  • 12 months experience in similar role
  • Strong understanding and experience of general IT support
  • Excellent customer service & communication skills
  • Embrace working in a fast paced environment
  • Use initiative and be pro-active
  • Take ownership / responsibility for own work
  • Professional behaviour
  • Solid experience in IT problem analysis and resolution
  • Experience of team-working
Desirable:
  • Basic understanding of networking
  • Have knowledge of Windows Server Environments and Active Directory
  • Knowledge of network technology including LAN’s & WAN’s, Firewalls & switches
  • VMWare & Hyper-V knowledge
