Medical DirectorateHealth Improvement Manager – Reducing Harm from Tobacco (permanent) Salary: Band 6 ‘£31,365 - £37,890’ (dependent on experience)Location: Michael Carlisle Centre, Nether Edge, SheffieldHours: 37.5 hours per weekPost Ref: 45-20-026-SMWe are looking to appoint a Health Improvement Manager (HIM). You will be accountable to, and work closely with the Trust’s Healthy Hospital and Community Programme Manager (HHCPM), who is leading the development and implementation of the South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw (SYB) Integrated Care System (ICS) QUIT Programme in the TrustYou will contribute to setting up a new Reducing Harm from Tobacco (QUIT) clinical team within the Trust, providing tobacco dependency interventions and advice to patients, staff and where appropriate, relatives and carers. You will provide training to staff and play a key role in delivering and supporting interventions initiated during an inpatient admission, to reduce harm from tobacco, and promote smoke free environments.We are looking for a highly motivated individual with a degree or professional qualification in a related area, and experience of treating tobacco dependency. Strong interpersonal and influencing skills are essential. A commitment to working collaboratively with ward-based and community clinicians, service users and carers, and to reducing health inequalities is essential.The Trust is committed to safeguarding adults and children and as part of our safe recruitment practice the successful applicant(s) will be subject to a check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) if it is deemed appropriate for the role.
