Job Description

Domus Recruitment are delighted to be working with a specialist independent provider of specialist education for children and adults to recruit for a Head of Residential in Sheffield, South Yorkshire.The charity supports children and adults with complex needs including learning disabilities, autistic spectrum conditions other disabilities. At their provision in Sheffield they aim to empower their young adult learners by offering a range of accredited coursesand qualificationsThey are looking to recruit for an experienced, dynamic and competent Senior Manager who will provide operational leadership and management of a range of residential provisions to young adults in the Sheffield area. A proven track record working successfullyin partnership with CQC and ensuring the best outcomes for the people supported is essential.The salary for this role is £43,000 - £53,000 dependent on experience.Key Responsibilities of the Head of Residential (Learning Disabilities):

  • Provide operational leadership and management of a range of residential provisions to young adults in the Sheffield area
  • To be a key and leading member of the Senior Management Team, the Shared Lives and Residential Team and work closely with the Principal.
  • Supporting and monitoring an allocated group of Shared Lives Providers, ensure that they are appropriately trained and supported.
  • Support the establishment of a high-quality provision and ensure compliance with all regulatory bodies, including CQC, CSSIW, Ofsted and Estyn within the residential provision.
Head of Residential (Learning Disabilities) Requirements:
  • Relevant qualification to allow for approval as a registered manager with CQC (and CSSIW as appropriate).
  • At least 5 years experience of CQC registration in a multiple homes organisation for young people with learning disabilities including Autistic Spectrum Condition.
  • Significant operational experience in a care environment working with all levels of staff and management.
  • Experience of working within a complex organisation.
  • Flexible working hours are required for this role, where it is expected that travel will be undertaken on a regular basis.
