Job: Head of Production - Animation StudioLocation: SheffieldSalary: £30,000 - £39,000 p.a (Depends on experience)Contract: Permanent, Full-time.We are proud to be supporting an award-winning, independent animation studio, that provides services to clients and advertising agencies within the healthcare and pharmaceuticals sector on an exclusive basis. Our client is looking to hire a Head of Production,which is an integral post in their internal team.My client focuses on imaginative and characterful content. The work is short form and covers a diverse range of styles and subject matters, from oncology, rare diseases, to Mode of Actions and patient awareness pieces. Their clients are based in the UK andUS, and they are often working to strict regulatory approval processes as well as demanding timeframes.About the Role:You will be working in a small core team of 10, ensuring all studio production work is delivered on time and to the highest of standards. You will be comfortable working in busier times and multi-tasking simultaneous projects, as well as proactive work duringquieter spells and managing your workload. You will also have the support of the Production Assistant, who you will also be responsible for supporting and managing.The role of Head of Production is internal and external facing. You will be the point of contact for client feedback and amendments for all live projects, corresponding over email, phone calls and video conferencing. You will be proactively championing theinternal team and managing each persons daily task list, along with the day-to-day management, which includes morning meetings, online chats, and face to face gatherings in the studio.Our clients business is a mixture of remote and in house, with a range of freelancers also complementing their team as and when needed.Due to the global positioning of my clients customers, we are looking for someone who can offer flexibility for working across GMT and EST time zones, with a need for some evening availability to respond to clients on emails and calls. (This is planned asmuch as possible)Responsibilities:Reporting into the Managing Director and Creative Director, responsibilities include:* Daily review of studio tasks lists and schedules, to ensure all work is carried out across each production.* Leading the daily morning meeting, to ensure all team members are aware of their daily tasks and priorities.* Corresponding online via email, Slack, zoom and other comms channels with the team to manage all daily activities.* Delivering work for review to clients, emailing any notes or communications needed in relation to the deliverables, what feedback is needed etc.* Supporting the Production Assistant with their growth and development.* Organising conference calls, both internal and external.* Leading calls on behalf of the studio and involving key members of production on calls.* Minuting client meetings to ensure all information is captured accurately.* Liaising with the marketing team on new business, pitches, and studio promotional work.* Creating schedules for new projects in the pipeline.* Studio diary management.* Coordination of software licenses.* Project reporting.* Supporting IT issues in coordination with our external IT support team.What would make you stand out:* The ideal person will have established experience working in Production either from the animation industry, film production, advertising agency background or similar.* Be a confident communicator who can strike the balance between the demands of clients and deadlines, and the wellbeing of the team.* Ensure our client serves the internal team, the creative work they produce and their clients alike.The Benefits:* Starting salary of between £30,000 and £39,000 depending on experience.* 28 Days holiday per annum including bank holidays, with this increasing with length of service.* Plenty of social events including regular days out, go-karting, snowboarding lessons and pub walks in the nearby Peak District National Park to name a few.* Open plan office studio, which is within walking distance of Sheffield train station.* Personal development and self-initiated research and development plans.In return for your hard work, you will get to work on a huge array of projects in an award-winning and growing company.
