Elevation Recruitment Group are pleased to be working with a well respected business in Sheffield as they look to bring in a new Head of Financial Reporting and Compliance into the team. This is a key role for the business and will be responsible for leadingall aspects of the financial reporting and compliance whilst also having responsibility for the sales and purchase ledger functions. The company offers fantastic benefits including: - - Starting salary of £63,000 - £69,000 (dependent on experience) - 36 Days holiday + Bank holidays - Generous Pension Scheme - Hybrid working/ Flexibility Duties will include- Day to day management of a team of 8 finance staff (Including transactional managers (AP/AR), Assistant Manager, Financial Accountant, Assistant Accountant and 3 X Finance Assistants)- Training, development and mentoring of the team- Dealing with any recruitment needs within the team - Production of financial accounts- Preparation of the annual reports- Preparation of financial Statements- Treasury management- Supporting with taxation and dealing with tax advisors- Working closely with a range of stakeholders across the business to provide expert advice and ensure compliance- Working under internal and external financial regulations- Acting as the lead contact for external stakeholders such as external audit, banks and HMRC- Providing professional financial and accounting advice to support business decision makingTo be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experiences: - - ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA Qualified - Staff management experience - Previous experience of working in larger and more complex businesses - Good technical accounting knowledge - Good communication skills - Business partnering experience - Good IT skills This is an employer of choice in the region and a rare and exciting opportunity to be part of the management team.
