Job Description

Elevation Engineering and Manufacturing are proud to partner with one of UK’s leading manufacturers in the appointment of a Head of Engineering.This is an excellent opportunity and one which will lead all operational engineering processes from the site in Sheffield.Our client is looking for this Head of Engineering to work as part of the senior leadership team and support the delivery and implementation of a structured and standardised roadmap with clear links to maintenance and engineering improvements across thesite.This Head of Engineering roles’ duties & responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Lead all engineering and maintenance for site.
  • Managing a multi disciplined team and relations both cross functionally and with external suppliers.
  • Support Groups’ objectives and deliver projects and day to day requirements on time in full and in budget.
  • Capex Management: Capital expenditures involve the acquisition of long-term assets or investments in the engineering department.
  • Managing the capex budget, which includes determining where to allocate funds for equipment, infrastructure, and technology to support engineering projects.
  • Review, implement and measure KPIs for maintenance systems covering all areas of reactive to planned maintenance, breakdown loss to OEE %
  • Project manage capital projects from concept, installation, commissioning through to handover.
  • Ensure the site comply with UK legislation and relevant EHS policies and procedures, promoting a culture of safety-first.
Elevation Engineering and Manufacturing are keen to speak with individuals that have demonstrable skills and experience in the following areas:
  • You will be Degree educated in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Demonstrable management skills leading multi skilled maintenance and engineering teams within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Background working within a fast paced assembly style manufacturing environment which operates to world class manufacturing standards.
  • You will be analytical in your approach, able to build strong and effective relationships and engage interest from your team for participation when problem solving to provide them with an opportunity to proactively contribute.
  • Proven capabilities in capex project management and delivery.
  • Able to work to deadlines, delivering a strategy and day to day activities with proven results supporting the business objectives.
  • You will have excellent communication skills.
  • Be self-sufficient, pro-active in your approach and the type of leader that will coach mentor and develop your team within.
