Elevation Engineering & Manufacturings team have been exclusively retained to manage a recruitment campaign for our prestigious client based Sheffield.The client is a worldwide leader in design and manufacturing for the orthopedic and medical device markets.Their Sheffield facility based off the Sheffield Parkway comprises a Forge, Foundry and CNC Machining and Finishing processes. It employs approximately 230 people and focuses on joint reconstruction, in particular knee and hip joints and also the instrumentsrequired to fit the medical device parts.They currently have a vacancy available within the Cast Finish Department. They are looking for individuals with experience or a desire to work in the following role:Hand GrinderHours: 39 hours per weekWorking Hours: The role will initially be days only but will then change to a 2 shift pattern upon successful completion of training period.Monday to Thursday 7am - 4pm / Friday 7am - 12NoonMonday to Friday 10pm - 6amHourly Rate: £10.76 p/h on days & £13.45 p/h on nightsOvertime: Paid at time andafter 39 hoursReporting to the Finishing Team Leader, the Hand grinder will be responsible for:* Using small handheld grinding equipment to remove defects from the faces of the castings* Use hand held measuring equipment* Carry out visual inspection of components* Complete necessary paperwork relating to the batch to enable traceabilityEssential experience for the role:* This role would suit an individual with a keen eye for detail who has experience using small hand held tools* Conventional measuring experience* Must have worked within a manufacturing environment in a similar roleIf you want to discuss the positions in more detail, please contact Nicola Jackson at Elevation Recruitment Group.Elevation Recruitment Groups Engineering division work with a vast range of businesses across Yorkshire and Humberside, Lincolnshire and East Midlands regions.
